10:10 am - 10:30 am Morning Networking Break

10:30 am - 11:10 am Interactive Case Study: Risk Management and Conflict Resolution in a #MeToo World

Remember when Trump’s Twitter account was taken down? It was by a contract employee at Twitter, who, in his own words, “didn’t do anything which I wasn’t authorized to do”.

When permanent workers are involved in such incidents and other workplace conflicts there tends to be a clear process for investigation and disciplinary action. However, when temporary workers are thrown into the mix, the process can be ambiguous and unclear. Delve into this tricky topic and learn how to mitigate ‘contractor risk’ in your own organization.  Key areas of discussion will include how to:

  • Develop and enforce contractor policies and procedures.
  • Address legal related issues surrounding sexual harassment and other inappropriate activity in the workforce.
  • Monitor contractor risk/activity on an ongoing basis

Two Rounds, 30 Minutes Each (Pick two):

These interactive roundtable sessions take a deep dive into the specific areas you came to learn about. Sit and learn in an intimate format from the speakers who have had an impact on their company and industry. Take control of your own event experience and don’t be shy! Ask questions (or answer them!) alongside other conference attendees who are dealing with the same challenges as you network with industry peers with very similar challenges, interests and responsibilities.
