Monica Lucero is a contingent workforce leader with more than 18 years of experience across managed service provider (MSP) programs, vendor management systems (VMS), independent contractor (IC) management, 1099 talent, and staff augmentation. She leads Deloitte US’s Contingent Workforce Management team, supporting the firm’s businesses and Enabling Areas across the United States and India. As part of Talent Acquisition, Monica is advancing a total talent management strategy and an omni-channel delivery model spanning direct sourcing, third-party suppliers, statements of work (SOW), and IC management. Before joining Deloitte, Monica held business development and account management roles, leading contingent workforce solution deployments, global program expansions, and program optimization across the media and entertainment, technology, health care, financial services, and government sectors. Her experience also includes evaluating early online talent marketplaces, FMS-based partnerships, and the use of AI in recruiting and talent matching. In 2018, Monica served on the Consumer Technology Association’s 21st Century Workforce Council, which explored how apprenticeship programs could help address technical skills gaps in the US labor market and considered workforce trends affecting multiple industries. Monica lives in McLean, Virginia, with her family.
