As the Director of Business Services at the American Chemical Society, Moria Smith is dedicated to advancing the organization's mission through strategic financial management and operational excellence. She began her journey with the American Chemical Society over 18 years ago, initially joining as a temporary worker in the ACS Library. Over the years, she has developed and enhanced a wide variety of business services for the organization and built both a deep understanding of the organization's goals and a keen ability to align financial strategies with its mission. Her innovative and collaborative approach to problem-solving has enabled her to make significant contributions to the organization's sustained growth and impact. Moria Smith holds a Master’s Degree in Library Science from San Jose State University complementing her financial expertise with a unique understanding of information management and research methodologies. This multidisciplinary approach has proven invaluable in her ability to develop holistic and effective solutions for The American Chemical Society.
